So a while back that other place you guys came from was dabbling in social media experiments. Before it all went wrong they managed to get a decent following at a music sharing site called Turntable.fm. Tunrtable late last year decided to move in a different direction and closed down music sharing. Well in the interest of not making this too long, the core users have moved to a new site, plug.dj. So if you like music, like to chat(or not) I'm extending an invatation to you to come on over to plug.dj and join in the fun with us. You will find us playing "Sub-Optimal" music at plug.dj/brews (It's not quite mediocre, but definitely sub-optimal)
cool beans. I will have to stop by and spin some gnarly old guy music to go with my other rad but outdated cultural references. Man, is that freedom rock?
found turntable.fm to be too glitchy (or was it bandwidth?), either way it's fun to blame turntable. looking forward to see what plug.dj is spinning. thanks for the invate @justjeffjust
Look forward to checking this out. We tried TT early on and found it rather glitchy (as well as a productivity killer); could be fun with more people DJing and fewer glitches.
I tried it for a couple weeks. I hung out in the woot employee room (on the site. I was never an actual employee). It was fun because we were doing themes unrelated to music. Songs related to food. Songs that end in one letter and begin with another, etc. It was more of a game than a music site to me.

And by invatation, he mean invitation. Hi Jeffy! :)
Did I typo again? :)

old guy music welcome, I did say it was sub-optimal ;)

plug does seem to be more stable at the moment, but it does play videos so could be worse on the bandwidth

Saw you peek in. Come back tomorrow morning, there will be more people there.

That's us. We haven't done themes for a little while. Right now we just play music. :)
I was into the themes too. 80s movies=Fave. Whatever. Don't judge.
TT was fun but was definitely a productivity killer. The music selection was outstanding. I never had a problem with bandwidth.
plug.dj uses youtube videos as it's source, there is no shortage of music
I'm in Sub-Optimal Music on #plugdj ♫ Now playing: Breakfast Club - Z-Trip http://plug.dj/brews
