Amazon does do a good overall job of using those sort functions in the gift giving guides, with 2 failings, imo. 1) There isn't much in the way of 'quirky' or off the beaten path - there's mostly products that every department store has shoved into an endcap. 2) Size. Just this would make it. "Fits in a stocking"
Or - and this I like for the easy factor - Randomly stuffed stocking.
Annnd it turns out I just needed the right search terms to find that someone is already doing this - though not in the way I would hope. http://www.estockingstuffers.com/
I assume Amazon does a variety of pages/sorts by this theme? Maybe good to check them out and see how they are lacking?
