which is mostly just an extended discussion of this WSJ article from a few years ago: 11 minutes of action
A friend of mine realized there's almost exactly 30 seconds between whistle of one play ending to hike of the ball, which lets you use the commercial-skip button to cut a 3 hour game down to an hour pretty easily.
I forgot the game was on yesterday until someone texted me as field goal went through. I guess I had also missed the fact the giants were on a 4 game winning streak so I should be happy about a tight win.
Since this is the sports thread, I'll hijack it for this article I saw:
An average NFL game: more than 100 commercials and just 11 minutes of play

this is the curse of watching pre-recorded. you can remove everything but playtime and then you realize you're relatively uninformed & bored

I was happy as well, until I saw who the 4 game win streak was against: Minnesota, Philly, Oakland and Green Bay (no Rodgers).
Win, under 20 degrees, on the road, in division, shutting up the smack talk from gmen.....just enjoy
Da bears!
Cowboys @ Bears Dec 9. We'll see which QB is better at throwing to his own team
Yeah, Cutler might be back by then, so I hope your DBs remember their stick-um!
