I saw this and the only thing that had me fooled for a second was the celebs in the video, but even then it was just too hard to believe. The camera angles are cleverly positioned in ways to make the effect believable, there are no full shots of the entire process (only short clips), and the board itself looks really fake.
What's weird to me is that Funny Or Die would bother with this crap when, presumably at the same time, they're shooting an interview with the president.
It's about time someone made something like this: Huvrboard by HuvrTech
HOAX but totally fun!
Doc Brown and Tony Hawk show off a real-life hoverboard (or not) - http://www.theverge.com/2014/3/4/5470408/doc-brown-tony-hawk-show-off-huvr-real-life-hoverboard
Yeah, looks to be a Funny Or Die video. They've got quite the budget, or at least connections, to get those celebrities.
The most telling evidence - a cached resume with the Funny Or Die Huvr credit from one of the people who made the film.

What gave it away for me was physics.

@dave, I honestly can't tell if Obama was upset or playing along. He's a good actor/sport if he was playing along.
@capguncowboy Yes it was all scripted, still hilarious though!
As cool as this would be, I doubt it would be much fun. I'm an avid snowboarder and interacting with the ground/environment is what makes it fun.
@Trailmix, flying around on a levitating snowboard wouldn't be fun?
@capguncowboy, To me, no. But I also enjoy riding park (jumps and rails). So just hovering over the obstacles isn't appealing. Just my 2 cents.
