Inspiring girls to code with 3D-printed bracelets
4I'm already a programmer, and not a kid, but I really want to make some 3D-printed bracelets.

Wow. Just watched the video. The bracelet - well, it doesn't blow my skirt up, but I guess it's okay. My daughter would probably love it. But as for the concept of using this project as a springboard to get middle- to high-school girls interested in computer science studies or STEM careers, then it's no damned wonder that they have no interest.
My four-year-old could do this. This isn't coding. It's just more pandering wrapped in a pink & purple GUI. Now, gear this project at pre-K and early elementary-aged girls, and you may have a start to something.
well that's a bummer. i didn't watch the video.
So the only way to get girls interested in programming is by making bracelets? :(
Clearly, otherwise this endeavor would be pointless
Not the only way, but this may attract some kids who would otherwise not realize how cool engineering/coding can be. It never hurts to bring more options to more kids.
Apparently dudes love making bracelets too. So much that they wait in agony next to the 3D printer until it's done.
