Nest Protect Unboxing Photos

Nest Protect arrived today. Cool thing about working from home is I can share unboxing photos with you guys...

If you've installed a Nest thermostat before you'll know what to expect... super easy installation. Clean and simple instructions and they've included everything I needed to get this on my ceiling in about 15 minutes (except the fancy little screwdriver that came with the Nest thermostat).

Once it's ready to test, the 10... 9... 8... countdown sequence is pretty dramatic. I'll have to post a video of that later.

Thoughts a few hours after installation:
1. This is the coolest smoke detector I've ever owned, but the bar was set pretty low.
2. Did I really pay $129 for this thing?!
