So we were considering an explanation post of this the other day: https://middling.com
We're doing some transactional work in that vein while we hire, code and sort out kinks for any future sites that involve the community. Months and months is the answer to your question though.
@snapster, From your link, it would seem that you're planning on offering an order fulfillment service for other retailers, but do you have plans or intentions of selling to the general public directly as well?

I was really hoping the answer would be, "After we take over the world."
@thumperchick, I'm adding "take over world" to my to-do list.
Months and months - that's at least four. That takes us to June. Hey, that's the same month that other site started, isn't it? Ten years
@pooflady, i like how you think. I hope they think that way too
Pretty sure that other site started July 12th (easy for me to remember because it's my daughter's birthday)

Of course, we're not "general public" , we're rats. Maybe that will be different ?
@capguncowboy, yes:
"for any future sites that involve the community" = taking your money
I'll start stock-piling my source-funds = reducing my intake of hookers and blow. I hope it's worth it :)
I feel like I should disclaim that your enjoyment of our sites might be a tad lower than that which hookers and blow provide you.
Less enjoyment than rug making and bubble gum? Now, that's disappointing.
I'm gonna go build my own community, with blackjack and hookers. In fact, forget the community.
@snapster, wait. I was liking this thing where you gave us money. Why change it now?
I thought that was a solid business model.
I concur
