The 'Share Economy' - Airbnb/Lyft/Etc.

I first heard about Lyft while at a music festival in downtown LA 2 years ago. I thought it was a pretty novel concept and had a really great experience. I ended up using the service fairly often and I was thrilled to find the pink mustachioed cars driving around the Dallas area.

This (admittedly a little TL;DR) article made me wonder what your experiences with these types of services have been like and where you see them going in the future. It'd be nice to hear from anyone that's been on the other side providing these services as well.
