I just finished beating (then liberating the island) Farcry 3. Excellent game, but I didn't care for the acid trip sequences.
Next, I'll be playing some other games that I picked up during Steam's Holiday Sale, then probably back to Call of Duty 4 Multiplayer (where I've logged probably close to 4000 hours in total).
I didn't get a chance to play it before I traded the game. One of my friends got it, though, and he loved it. Said it was practically fan service for the 80s sci-fi fandom.
For some reason I got pulled back into SimCity (on the iPad this time). I've been playing on hard (starting $10k in debt), which helps keep it interesting.
With the recent news that they're actually going to offer off-line SimCity, I may actually buy the full game.
@derek Talk about disasters. That was a rough year for EA in general, but SimCity was a nightmare. If an off-line version releases, I might consider it like @dave.
My favorite game right now is Knights of Puzzlelot, a match 3 game where you match swords to attack monsters, shields to ... well... shield, and coins for ... coins, which you can spend to get better armor and weapons.
Finished up Child of Light a little while ago. Been working my way through Watch_Dogs. I do need to get back to Transistor soon though. Oh, and I played the crap out of the Destiny Alpha a couple of weeks ago, can not wait for that game to come out!
Copied from the other thread: Since the Steam Summer Sale is going on, I've bought about 4-5 games (all under $5) even though my library is still full of stuff I haven't played. I just started Farcry3 Blood Dragon last night and it's really fun. Retro 16-bit cutscenes and 80s action movie dialogue mixed with futuristic cyborg powers and weapons.
I've also been playing quite a bit of Smite. It's a 3rd person MOBA which makes it have a very unique and different feel than LoL or DOTA. It's free to play with a fairly reasonable offer of unlocking every current and future god for around $30.

@capguncowboy I liked FC3 (minus the acid trip bits, like you). Did you try out the Blood Dragon DLC?
Music.... got no times for games. :(
Neither do I, but I play anyway. Just sacrifice your personal relationships. It's worth it. You can definitely trust me...
Meaning you're a musician?
@ohjonnyboy, I haven't. I saw it on Steam though. Is it any count?

I'm a TS3 gal myself… no plans to transition to TS4 when it comes out.
@dave I'm eager for the offline SimCity as well -- I just hope they don't muck it up like the initial release.

It is still fun to peruse the Amazon reviews. (Some of the 5 star ones are hilarious.) http://amzn.to/1d6P4Ds
Ditto for metacritic. Some of the 100 scores are brilliant.
Double Fanucci
Anyone get in the Double Fine Kickstarter to play Broken Age? I hear it's amazing.
I want to hear more about that one too!
Minecraft.
I set up a local server and play with my kids.
And yes, I do know how to tame a horse.
@dave, I have a friend who is, but I didn't catch it in time. He loves it. It's got that classic Double Fine feel to it, supposedly.
@bluejester, King Mumberthrax would be proud.
For reasons unknown my phone is addicted to Candy Crush :)
I occasionally still play a text-based online RPG actually. I know, I'm a dinosaur
Are there still active MUDs?
Surprisingly quite a few actually. The one I play now and then is a pay one called Gemstone

There is an Android/iOS app called 10000000 you might like. It's an interesting mashup of a Match3 game with Dungeon Crawler and RPG aspects.
oh, i'll have to check that out
Cave Story! There's just something about this game that makes my heart feel happy! :) ...and I'm on my 3rd time into it already
Just started playing ...Sniper 2 : o

How was Child of Light? I've heard decent things, but are they true?
