Like so many others, I started getting charged tax on my woot! purchases because they had warehouses and distribution in Pennsylvania. How will meh.com work? Will I be tax free until you open 49 other offices across the country?
The thing it seems like I'm supposed to point out is: you're not "tax free" in most states. It's up to you to submit sales-tax/use-tax for your online purchases. We'll be collecting sales-tax on behalf of our customers who ship orders to TX (but not PA).
That's the legal mumbo-jumbo version of "only if you're in Texas". Who really says "Hey government! 35% taxes wasn't enough this year. You forgot to take some of this money too!"?
Wait, do you have an office in PA? It still wouldn't affect me... just curious.
I could spare enough room for an executive office here in PA. There seems to be a demand for a physical presence and the rent would be cheap. Toss a salary offer in and the office comes complete with staff. Now there's an offer you just can't refuse, a place to spend those gorillion bucks!
I am writing to apply for the Regional Tax Manager position for the great state of Nevada.
The opportunity presented is very interesting, and I believe that my strong technical experience and education will make me a very competitive candidate for this position. The key strengths that I possess for success in this position include:
I can provide a physical presence for Meh Inc. in Nevada because I live in a house that is actually located in Nevada.
I won't steal the tax money because I fear the government taking away my house.
Your system will collect the tax and do all the work so it will be extremely difficult for me to mess it up.
I can make pie charts in Word, Excell, and Powerpoint.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to speaking with you about this employment opportunity.
I'm not a tax attorney, but...

What about MO? Is there even sales tax in MO?

Our office is in TX for now until we make trillions and expand to take over the world.
You really should aim higher. Centillions would be nice.
