@duodec Wool does rock, but cotton is just fine if you spend most of your time inside with some form of climate control. Definitely to be avoided if you're out hiking/camping/climbing/etc though.
@harrison There are some synthetics that will work, otherwise as Talidan noted, just stay somewhere cushy where your feet or self won't get wet and sweaty when its cold outside and little chance of drying off or warming up..

The best part about all of this is the fact that people are annoyed. So annoyed, in fact, that they are airing their annoyances here for everyone to read. Which leads to the further annoyance of everyone. This pleases me. It shouldn't but it does.

I got my Mid-Performance Socks today(from a neighbor who the USPS accidentally delivered them to) and read the tag that says to not give them individual names, well I'm now consumed with thinking of names for them. I might post back when I think of names for them. Although I am slightly concerned they are only 50% good but I'm going to look at it as if the glass is half full of water and an unknown amount full of something else(maybe or maybe not that something else is looking back at you.. Got my socks. Very mediocre (nice). The were very large for my size 9 feet at first, but after I washed (warm) and dried them, they seemed too small but fit very well. Thanks meh!

The socks don't live down to the brand name. Maybe I feel that way because I only buy cheap white cotton ones? The color seems sophisticated rather than middling, the branding is thoughtfully placed so the socks may be worn without exposing it, and the proportion of natural to synthetic fiber is good. Beautiful even knit, too. Thank you! These are a treat and I appreciate your thoughtfulness.
I finally tried on my mediocre socks. Having named them Schlick and Schlock, I'm obviously attached. I have larger calves and averagely female sized feet. So the socks don't quite fit - perfectly mediocre.
Having sustained a heel bruise; I'm currently icing my average foot injur with a lunchbox grade ice pack, on so-so pillows, while wearing my ill fitting mediocre socks. This seems like the exact perfect use for these socks.
@MHBoston Mine have not shipped yet either . . . customer service says to not give up hope, but I'm not holding my breath. I'm starting to feel a little left out - and although I know that delays and mistakes happen, it is inevitable that it will leave a very poor impression on me to be omitted. I hope that if they can't fulfill the remaining ~250 orders that they'll offer something else to make up for leaving our feet out in the cold all winter.
I still havent gotten mine. I used to be able to get the tracking info from https://mediocre.com/ Its not showing up anymore. Meh CSR says to ask the PO where it is. PO says to ask Meh to ship it again. Either way, I still dont have my socks and I no longer have the tracking.
We're still working through various shipping issues affecting a couple hundred sock orders and we hope to have those worked out within the next few days.

For those who are still waiting: the socks are well worth the delay. I gave mine to a friend, since they're guy socks and they don't fit this girl, and he says they're very superior indeed. He asked me where to get more, in different colors, and I referred him to the most informative sock biography which was included.

I dont mind getting an email when someone replies to me, but not for everyone posting!
However...it is helpful if you can't stay on the web page to have the comments in email. My emails are threaded by subject, so deleting the entire lot at once is easy.

I think they should've been sent out without order confirmation and been a complete surprise. Surprise socks are much better.

The best part about all of this is the fact that people are annoyed. So annoyed, in fact, that they are airing their annoyances here for everyone to read. Which leads to the further annoyance of everyone. This pleases me. It shouldn't but it does.

I got my Mid-Performance Socks today(from a neighbor who the USPS accidentally delivered them to) and read the tag that says to not give them individual names, well I'm now consumed with thinking of names for them. I might post back when I think of names for them. Although I am slightly concerned they are only 50% good but I'm going to look at it as if the glass is half full of water and an unknown amount full of something else(maybe or maybe not that something else is looking back at you.. Got my socks today, no shit, these are as good as any "dress" sock I own. Plus I have an 12 EE shoe size and they still fit. Nice job!
Got my socks. Very mediocre (nice). The were very large for my size 9 feet at first, but after I washed (warm) and dried them, they seemed too small but fit very well. Thanks meh!

The socks don't live down to the brand name. Maybe I feel that way because I only buy cheap white cotton ones? The color seems sophisticated rather than middling, the branding is thoughtfully placed so the socks may be worn without exposing it, and the proportion of natural to synthetic fiber is good. Beautiful even knit, too. Thank you! These are a treat and I appreciate your thoughtfulness.

I finally tried on my mediocre socks. Having named them Schlick and Schlock, I'm obviously attached. I have larger calves and averagely female sized feet. So the socks don't quite fit - perfectly mediocre.
Having sustained a heel bruise; I'm currently icing my average foot injur with a lunchbox grade ice pack, on so-so pillows, while wearing my ill fitting mediocre socks. This seems like the exact perfect use for these socks.
I like mine. I would even buy a few more of these if they were black on black, like the meh tshirts.
I don't remember ordering these. It wasn't that long ago. But it seems like I'm going to get a pair. Or one. Weird.

@MHBoston Mine have not shipped yet either . . . customer service says to not give up hope, but I'm not holding my breath. I'm starting to feel a little left out - and although I know that delays and mistakes happen, it is inevitable that it will leave a very poor impression on me to be omitted. I hope that if they can't fulfill the remaining ~250 orders that they'll offer something else to make up for leaving our feet out in the cold all winter.

Meh CSR says to ask the PO where it is. PO says to ask Meh to ship it again. Either way, I still dont have my socks and I no longer have the tracking.
We're still working through various shipping issues affecting a couple hundred sock orders and we hope to have those worked out within the next few days.

For those who are still waiting: the socks are well worth the delay. I gave mine to a friend, since they're guy socks and they don't fit this girl, and he says they're very superior indeed. He asked me where to get more, in different colors, and I referred him to the most informative sock biography which was included.
